Meet in the Volcano Park Tour 

This is a 4 hour tour starting inside the Hawaii Volcano's National Park. Start time is flexable.  You can drive from Hilo or Kona to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where we would begin the tour at the visitor center.  You will ride with us as we show you the Hawaii Volcano's National Park.

The 3.5 to 4 hour tour takes in the following:

  1. Visitor Center
  2. Thurston Lava Tube where we will walk through a 500 year old lava tube
  3. Mauna Ulu 1969 to1974 Lava flow where you can walk out on a past lava flow. We will see some of the different formations including Tree Molds, Ramparts, Lava Tree and a fissure.
  4. Some of the craters along the road to the ocean
  5. Kilauea Iki the location of a 1959 eruption that filled in an existing crater with over 400 feet of new lava
  6. Kilauea Caldera and Jagger Museum. Here we will see the smoke rise from the crater and depending on conditions lava fountains and view the main caldera along with a walk through the Jagger Museum.
  7. Steam Vents We will stop and you can walk right up to one and feel the heat. We will walk to the crater rim which is where the steam bluff is and where a 400 foot drop off to the Kilauea Caldera offering another great view of the volcanoes main caldera.
  8. Chain of Craters road stopping at previous lava flows and beautiful views on our way to the ocean where we will see the sea arch as well as the steam from the current entry point into the ocean 4 miles away.

Price on our 4 hour meet in the Volcano park tour runs

$375.00 for up to 4 guests, 4 or 6 guests $450.00 and  $575.00 for 7 to 10 guests.

Hawaii Time:

We are available Monday through Saturday.  All tours depart from Hilo except our Meet in the Volcano Park Tour. If you are in Kona or Waikoloa and you have a car you can drive over to Hilo for our 6 hour tour or we can meet you in the Volcano Park to begin our 3.5 to 4 tour.

Water as well as local pineapple and chocolate macadamia nuts are provided during the tour.

Please bring a jacket as it can be cool at higher elevations.  Good sturdy shoes are recommended for our hiking tours.  We do have some umbrellas and jackets.
